Disposable masks are made of plastic which is not biodegradable, meaning they won’t break down in the environment. This in itself isn’t ideal (have you considered getting a groovy reuseqble mask?), but whats heartbreaking is that these a lot of these masks end up in our environment and get tangled around wildlife. This could be birds or sea life, and causes them to get stuck, injured and sometimes costs them their lives 😣
